In addition to his playing responsibilities, Leonardo is involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of all the players of the club. Through Leonardo's diverse experiences he has acquired a detailed understanding of anatomy and human physiology. He has also developed a particular interest in biomechanics and in the rehabilitation of injuries. Overall, Leonardo's chiropractic philosophy is to focus on restoring function, enhancing the health and quality of people's everyday lives and on empowering people through education about their spinal health.
Michael J. Egan Hon. B.H.K, M.Chiro,Trigenics Physician
Michael was first introduced to chiropractic as an infant at 6 weeks old and experienced great benefits from it growing up as a child. Michael has been studying and working in health and human performance since 1998, obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Human Kinetics, Co-op degree from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. During his studies he majored and worked in Industrial Ergonomics for companies such as Honda MFG of Canada, DaimlerChrysler and St. Joseph's Health Care, and also competed as an athlete for the Windsor Lancers Cross-Country and Track & Field teams. Having been plagued by a chronic injury for many years that side lined him from competition, he credits a series of chiropractic spinal adjustments and a combination of core strengthening and a new treatment called Trigenics Functional Neurology that finally rejuvenated him.
Michael went on to complete a Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University in Sydney, become a Registered Trigenics Physician, and is working towards obtaining a designation is Sports Chiropractic. Since living in Australia, he has also enjoyed the opportunity to go for many scenic hikes and runs throughout the country's major cities, as well as dive in the great barrier reef. Michael appreciates the World Health Organization's definition of health as being a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Therefore, he has an interest in offering Chiropractic care to people of all ages. Additionally, he has a current extended interest in caring for chronic shoulder injuries. Overall, Michael intends to help serve his community and help them achieve their optimum well being and performance through physical care, education and by continually upgrading his skills and knowledge.
